The zagroot is a ululation mostly expressed by women to honor a person, usually a bride or a groom, often in folk song. It is common to Palestinians, but can also be found as an expression in many other cultures. This is what it sounds like:


With that in mind, this site* will be dedicated to honoring the rich cultural and historical heritage of Palestine.


*Currently, the site is under construction while its curator completes a compilation of the research uncovered in the pursuit of a doctorate…and also figures out how to work wordpress.
